Friedman: “I worry about Joe Biden debating Donald Trump.”

Problem: The Democratic party is afraid of letting Joe Biden leave his basement and face President Trump in three debates for 6 hrs.!

Solution: Hide Biden until Nov 3rd and meanwhile use Thomas Friedman and people like him in the media to confuse the notion of having debates with a series of convoluted and baffling topics to gradually justify to the American people why these debates are actually a bad idea!

Here we go. . .

Friedman in his latest article “Biden Should Not Debate Trump Unless …” in The New York Times on July 7, 2020, states that “I worry about Joe Biden debating Donald Trump. He should do it only under two conditions. Otherwise, he’s giving Trump unfair advantages.”

I was always under the impression that the most important job of the responsible press & media is to encourage more dialogues and debates, not to develop strategies for avoiding them or supplying the public with misinformation.

As we get closer to Nov 3rd, more and more people in the Democratic party are terrified of what would happen if Biden actually leaves his basement and tries to debate President Trump during a live TV broadcast!

Just imagine if Biden repeats some of his well-known quotes e.g., “you are not black if you don’t vote for me” or “China is not an economic threat to U.S.”, on a live TV broadcast, while standing next to President Trump. This would be the end of Biden and many people around him.

That is why, they believe these debates should be avoided at all cost. And that is why more and more highly partisan journalists and their supporting media are doing their best to change the narrative from “debate” to “tax return” or similar irrelevant topics.

It is very disappointing that for our Pulitzer prize winning Friedman, the main issue confronting the world is Trump’s tax return while providing some dog-and-pony show excuses so that Biden can run away from debating President Trump on the REAL issues confronting us.

We all should encourage more dialogues and debates to address many significant challenges in world such as (1) developing commendable global institutions and mechanisms to protect human rights, (2) addressing food, water and environmental issues, (3) Covid-19 and its short- and long-term health and economic aftermath, (4) China buying its way into Middle East and Africa, (5) the future of democracy in Hong Kong, etc., (6) Artificial Intelligence and the future of humans, (7) the future of money, world economy and Blockchain, (8) unleashed Bio-engineering, (9) bioterrorism, (10) the future of art and cultures, and many other critical and challenging issues.

The job of media should not be keeping people busy with irrelevant nonsense and producing justifications to eliminate dialogues and debates.

How low these highly partisan journalists are willing to go to show their over-the- top hatred of President Trump, and to further demonstrate their own lack of journalistic objectivity and standards?

Instead of saying that (1) three debates are actually not enough and we must have six or even more debates with real-time participation of the American people via live Q&As, chat, etc., and (2) providing a list of critical topics that should be debated (and should not be ignored), the terrified Democratic party and its supporting media are trying to SAVE a failed politician whom they have to know is incompetent at best while also dealing with cognitive issues.

Friedman also suggests that a real-time fact-checking team would report on any misleading statements, phony numbers or outright lies either candidate utters. He should spend a few minutes on YouTube to find the many examples of Biden’s lies and dishonesties. Having a real-time fact-checking team would benefit whom? Let’s make sure we have more and more debates among the candidates. . . After all, this is the United States of America not the Chinese Communist Party, the Russia Federation, nor the Barbaric Fascist Islamic System of Iran where open and challenging dialogues & debates are nonexistent.

Let’s not allow Friedman and similar members of the media mob to gradually impose and disseminate these totalitarian, authoritarian, and oppressive ideologies and approaches in our great country.

We all deserve much more and we can’t allow dark forces to win.
